The question of who is the future of the WWE may have been answered by a surprising source at Sunday Night’s Main Event.Bron Breakker and Oba Femi were initially trying to battle it out for that title. Bronson Reed answered the question for the both of them. Reed returned in his first action since suffering a biceps tear in February. He looked leaner and meaner than ever before.COMPLETE PRO WRESTLING COVERAGE ON OUTKICKReed took out Femi with multiple chair shots and tsunamis from the top rope. He then allowed Breakker to put the exclamation point on the night with a couple of spears.The only thing up for grabs was public perception between Breakker and Femi when they were stepping into the ring.The future of the WWE was on full display.Both Breakker and Femi believed they will be the face of the next decade. Breakker came into the match tired of being overlooked after being out for a few months with an injury. Femi was riding a wave of momentum after retiring Brock Lesnar in a Hell in a Cell match at SummerSlam.There’s no doubt that both men will be the building blocks of how the WWE roster is shaped over the next few years. Breakker came back on the other side of the ring and hit a flying elbow drop while Femi was regaining his composure on the announcer table. As the match wore on, both men needed to answer one vital question – who wants it more?Breakker thought he had Femi in his clutches. He hit a German suplex, but it didn’t appear to affect Femi in any way. Femi went into overdrive. A big boot followed by four European uppercuts swung the momentum back into his favor. A chokeslam, however, couldn’t keep Breakker down.Breakker then tried a running spear around the outside of the ring but he got caught with another European uppercut. Austin Theory came out of the woodwork to try to distract Femi, but got punished and slammed through the announcer table. Breakker finally hit his spear on the outside and a torpedo spear inside. Still, Femi wouldn’t stay down.That’s when Reed showed up.He hit Femi in the back with a chair and levied a wild assault on “The Ruler.”Reed and Breakker were the ones standing tall on Sunday night. But the future of WWE may be clear.
