Happy Friday! Grab your rain gear. Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected, and some storms this afternoon could be strong to severe. There will be breaks in the storms for highs to reach the lower 90s. Please remember “When thunder roars go indoors”. The threat for heavy rainfall and localized flooding will be the main concern going into the long holiday weekend as the soggy set up continues. The new drought monitor came out and great news, areas of the Everglades are no longer under extreme drought conditions. Now South Florida is under moderate to severe conditions. Looking ahead, Labor Day looks to be slightly drier so you may be able to get that BBQ in with family and friends. Keep it tuned to Local 10 for more.
