Kamala Harris released a campaign video Thursday encouraging Democratic voters to participate in the 2026 midterm elections while borrowing rhetoric long associated with former President Donald Trump. The recorded message, posted on social media, called for massive voter turnout and warned that Republicans were attempting to undermine the electoral process, employing Trump’s frequently used phrase “too big to rig” in the process.
Conservative figures and organizations quickly seized on Harris’s word choice, accusing her of lacking originality in her political messaging. TPUSA Spokesman Andrew Kolvet declared that “Kamala Harris has never had an original thought in her life,” while the popular End Wokeness account criticized both the video’s production quality and Harris’s credibility. Other right-leaning commentators similarly noted the apparent contradiction of Harris using Trump’s signature slogan while criticizing Republican election tactics.
Harris’s video directly addressed Trump administration policies affecting mail-in voting, specifically referencing a recent Supreme Court decision that allowed portions of Trump’s mail-voting restrictions to proceed while legal challenges continue. A federal judge issued a temporary block Thursday preventing the Postal Service from implementing new mail-ballot requirements ahead of the November elections.
In the footage, Harris pointed out that Trump votes by mail from Mar-a-Lago while supporting restrictions on mail-in voting for other Americans. She argued that Trump’s policies would create barriers for voters attempting to cast ballots through the mail. Fox News Digital requested comment from Harris regarding the conservative response to her video.
