WWE NXT Heatwave will highlight an action-packed Sunday of professional wrestling, drawing major attention to the sport’s developmental brand. The event takes place at the Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg, Texas, with a stacked card that includes four championship matches and a submission contest. Coverage begins at 3 p.m. ET on the CW Network.

The main event fatal four-way championship bout marks a significant moment for newcomer Zilla Fatu, who arrived on the NXT scene earlier this month and immediately challenged NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo. The match also features Grayson Waller and Cruz Montana, with D’Angelo’s reign of nearly 150 days—the longest since Oba Femi’s 2025 title run—on the line.

D’Angelo’s dominance will face its toughest test yet against three hungry contenders seeking to dethrone the champion. Fatu, in particular, has generated considerable momentum since his NXT debut, positioning Sunday’s encounter as his first singles match on the brand. The title picture remains wide open with multiple storylines converging in this championship opportunity.

The Women’s Championship sees Kendal Grey defending against Kelani Jordan, with Grey nursing an ear injury that could present advantages for her opponent. Jordan has recently expressed frustration over limited opportunities within NXT, while Grey has maintained an impressive trajectory since joining from Evolve.

NXT will unify the Women’s North American Championship with the WWE Women’s Speed Championship in a three-way match featuring Kali Armstrong, Zaria, and Sinclair. Armstrong, a former Evolve women’s champion, receives her first opportunity at NXT gold in what looms as a challenging matchup against established competitors.

The tag team championship will see Myles Borne and Tavion Heights defend their recently won titles against Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes, whom they defeated to capture the belts earlier this month. Later in the evening, Borne faces Jackson Drake in a North American Championship match, with Drake having earned his shot by defeating Shiloh Hill with Naraku’s assistance.

Rising star Jaida Parker will meet veteran Nattie in a submission match as their rivalry escalates. The contest provides Parker an opportunity to demonstrate her credentials while allowing Nattie to reinforce her status as an influential figure in professional wrestling.
