A fatal collision on Interstate 78 in Newark claimed the lives of two women after a Mack tractor-trailer overturned onto their vehicle. According to New Jersey State Police, the truck operator attempted an emergency maneuver to avoid striking a stationary Chevrolet but lost control in the process.
The Mack truck subsequently overturned directly onto the passenger car, resulting in the deaths of both occupants. State police continue their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
