Authorities discovered the body of a man suspected in a quintuple homicide inside a parked vehicle in Enumclaw, Washington, on Sunday. The discovery came one day after law enforcement officials found the remains of five individuals at a rural location near Portland, Oregon.
The circumstances surrounding the suspect’s death remained under investigation as of Sunday evening. Investigators had been actively seeking the man in connection with the discovery of the five bodies on the Oregon property.
Both the Oregon State Police and Washington authorities coordinated their response to the interconnected cases. Additional details about the victims and the circumstances of their deaths were not immediately released by law enforcement officials.
