The New York Police Department is looking into a video circulating on social media that depicts several individuals climbing out of a sewer manhole in the vicinity of Penn Station. The footage shows people dressed in overalls and equipped with what appear to be headlamps exiting the underground passage one at a time through the manhole opening.
Authorities have not yet released details about the identity of the individuals in the video or the circumstances that led to their presence in the sewer system. The investigation remains ongoing as police work to determine the nature and purpose of the group’s activities beneath the Manhattan streets.
