Red Lobster has reintroduced its Endless Shrimp promotion, a signature offering that previously contributed to substantial financial losses and ultimately factored into the company’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing two years ago. The seafood chain launched the current limited-time iteration on August 17 at participating locations nationwide, marking its second attempt to revive the customer-favorite deal under a restructured business model.
The chain credits persistent customer demand for the promotion’s return, noting that diners “never stopped asking for it” during its absence. Red Lobster emphasized that it made the difficult decision to bring back Endless Shrimp only after redesigning the offering with enhanced operational discipline, better forecasting, improved kitchen workflow and adjusted pricing structures that vary by market location.
Under the current promotion, guests can select from five shrimp preparations—including new garlic-bread-crusted shrimp, shrimp linguini Alfredo, garlic shrimp scampi, Parrot Isle coconut shrimp and Walt’s Favorite Shrimp—and consume unlimited portions throughout their meal. The dine-in experience differs significantly from the previous permanent version that the company cited as a key factor in its financial deterioration.
A limited spring 2026 test run of the promotion met performance targets and demonstrated the viability of the restructured model. Red Lobster reported that guest satisfaction scores exceeded typical promotional averages, restaurant staff support strengthened, and internal engagement metrics surpassed historical levels during the trial period.
CEO Damola Adamolekun, 37, has emphasized that the revamped Endless Shrimp operates under strict time limitations and financial oversight. The company stated that the earlier permanent version failed because “guest demand alone is not enough” without corresponding operational and financial controls to sustain profitability.
