Emergency responders rushed to the scene of a vehicle fire sparked by a collision with an Amtrak passenger train in Fort Lauderdale on Saturday evening. The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of West Prospect Road and Northwest Ninth Avenue.
Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue personnel evaluated both the vehicle occupants and members of the train crew following the crash. According to a department spokesperson, no injuries were reported from the incident.
Two individuals were undergoing assessment at the scene, the fire rescue official noted, though specific details about their conditions were not immediately available.
