Philadelphia authorities have identified Zymire Hughes, 22, as the man suspected in a series of attacks targeting women throughout the city. An active arrest warrant has been issued for Hughes, who police believe may have left Pennsylvania following the incidents. Investigators are urging the public to report any sightings as the search expands beyond state lines.

Hughes allegedly wore a disturbing Chucky-style Halloween mask while pursuing victims on city streets, according to police reports. In one incident last Wednesday, he chased a woman while screaming threatening questions at her and nearby pedestrians, demanding to know if they were “ready to die.” Security footage from multiple locations, including a Dunkin’ Donuts that refused him service because of the mask, captured him approaching people throughout Philadelphia.

The suspect’s streak of intimidation ended when he confronted Jameka Wilson, a woman trained in combat skills. Wilson fought back when Hughes threatened her, delivering a forceful kick to his chest that caused him to lose his balance and flee the scene. Police say Hughes has known ties to both California and Nevada.

Authorities describe Hughes as a Black male with a medium complexion, standing approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall with a thin build. He was last seen wearing the white Chucky mask with black hair and carrying a black and blue plaid backpack. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is urged to contact Philadelphia police.
