Authorities in Miami Gardens launched a manhunt Thursday after a man opened fire on his adult son during a heated dispute. Officers responded to a residence in the 1900 block of Northwest 115th Street, where they discovered the victim had sustained gunshot wounds.
The injured man was transported to a local hospital and remained in stable condition as of the police report. Neighbors recounted hearing multiple shots fired in rapid succession, with one resident describing the sound as “pop, pop, pop, pop” when opening her door.
Investigators determined the suspect discharged his weapon through the front glass door of the home before fleeing the scene in a vehicle. Police noted the property displayed surveillance signage and possessed a visible camera above the entrance, though those devices’ potential footage was not mentioned in the initial investigation summary.
The suspect’s description has not been released by law enforcement. Residents indicated police had visited the same address over the preceding weekend, suggesting possible prior incidents at the location.
