Emergency responders arrived at a Staten Island residence Tuesday morning following a 911 call to discover a 19-year-old male with visible signs of physical trauma. The deceased displayed swollen ankles, bruising around both his wrists and ankles, and protruding ribs when officers conducted their initial assessment at the scene.
Investigators have begun questioning the young man’s mother as part of their ongoing inquiry into the circumstances surrounding his death. Authorities have not yet released additional details regarding the nature of the 911 call or preliminary findings from their examination.
The case remains under active investigation as police work to determine whether the injuries were sustained before or around the time of death and to establish the precise cause of the fatality.
