Actor John Stamos rang in his 63rd birthday on Instagram with a provocative black-and-white mirror selfie that immediately captured the attention of his followers. Posted without caption except for the number “63,” the photograph showcased the actor’s physique while his phone strategically obscured his face, highlighting his abdominal definition and a visible tattoo on his left shoulder.
Stamos’ followers flooded the comments section with references to his legendary role as Uncle Jesse on the 1990s sitcom “Full House,” employing catchphrases associated with the character. One commenter wrote “More like Uncle Yes-se! 😂 Happy Birthday!❤️” while another simply posted the character’s signature expression “HAVE MERCY.” Former castmate Candace Cameron Bure also participated in the online celebration, leaving her own birthday wishes.
The actor debuted his shoulder tattoo in March through an Instagram video documenting the tattooing process. The design features a Native American horseman gazing upward, inspired by “Appeal to the Great Spirit,” an image The Beach Boys had used as a symbol of artistic freedom and creative trust at their Brother Records label.
During a recent appearance on “The Bobbycast” podcast, Stamos addressed repeated invitations to compete on “Dancing with the Stars,” explaining his consistent refusals. He stated that the show’s appeal depends on contestant suffering and mishaps, and after numerous producer requests, told them definitively: “Don’t ever ask me again.”
