Julie Angelicola made her way to the NJ Transit Customer Service Center at Penn Station to claim an unexpected discovery. The antique wedding band, which she initially feared was lost forever, had turned up in the transit system’s lost and found department after an incident aboard one of the trains.
Angelicola believed the ring had been accidentally flushed down a toilet while she was washing her hands during her commute. Despite her initial resignation to the loss, the wedding band ultimately made its way back to her through the diligent efforts of NJ Transit staff members who located and preserved the valuable item.
The recovery of the sentimental piece represents a fortunate outcome for the commuter, who was able to retrieve her cherished jewelry after visiting the service center at the major transportation hub.
