A prolonged stretch of dry, sweltering conditions will grip South Florida through the week, with Miami-Dade and Broward counties experiencing mainly clear skies Monday night as residual Saharan dust continues to hover over the region. Overnight temperatures are expected to dip only to around 80°F, offering minimal relief from the oppressive heat.
Tuesday’s forecast calls for abundant sunshine and light winds from the northwest to south-southeast, setting the stage for potentially historic warmth across the area. High temperatures are projected to reach the upper 90s, with Miami at particular risk of shattering the daily temperature record if conditions push to 97°F or beyond.
