Emergency crews responded to a helicopter crash in Pembroke Pines on Saturday morning at a location southwest of the intersection of US 27 and Pembroke Road, law enforcement confirmed. The aircraft carried two people on board, both of whom remained uninjured and able to move independently, according to fire rescue personnel at the scene.
Pembroke Pines Fire Rescue and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue deployed teams to manage the incident, which presented logistical challenges due to difficult terrain in the crash area. Rescue personnel employed air rescue capabilities and deployed the Broward Sheriff’s Office Track unit to access the helicopter and coordinate recovery efforts.
Motorists traveling in the vicinity faced potential traffic disruptions as multiple emergency agencies worked the scene. Officials advised drivers to prepare for delays and possible road closures while response operations continued in the area.
