Miami Man Arrested After Brandishing AR-15 in Luxury Condo Confrontation

Anthony Governale, 31, was taken into custody Thursday evening following an altercation with a neighbor at Ten Museum Park, a 48-story residential tower containing 200 units at 1040 Biscayne Boulevard in downtown Miami. According to law enforcement records, the confrontation began when the two men argued in an elevator before exiting on the 12th floor, where their dispute intensified in the hallway outside their units.

Surveillance footage captured the men engaged in heated argument both inside the elevator and in the corridor, with their exchange escalating to the point where the neighbor proposed resolving the matter through physical confrontation. Governale allegedly retreated into his unit and returned brandishing what police identified as a pistol-caliber carbine rifle, which he directed toward the other resident, according to the police report.

Governale denied pointing the weapon at his neighbor, claiming he never directed the firearm toward the victim. Police officers apprehended Governale shortly after 8 p.m. Thursday, with corrections officials processing him into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center before midnight.

Governale was charged with attempted aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and held on a $2,500 bond. He had previously been released on felony bond following a December incident at the Palm Tree Club in North Bay Village, where he faced accusations of resisting arrest and using racial slurs.
