Miami-Dade County sheriff’s deputies are investigating a shooting that occurred Wednesday at a Mobil gas station located at 10300 NW 12th Ave. in northwest Miami-Dade. The incident unfolded around 5:25 p.m. when an argument between two men escalated into gunfire, authorities said.
One of the men involved sustained a gunshot wound and transported himself to North Shore Hospital. He was subsequently transferred to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital for further treatment, according to law enforcement officials.
Investigators are actively searching for the suspect responsible for the shooting. Detectives are reviewing surveillance video from the gas station and examining the circumstances surrounding the confrontation that led to the exchange of gunfire.
No additional injuries were reported in connection with the incident. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to identify and locate the shooter.
