Authorities discovered two men with fatal gunshot wounds inside the basement of a residence in Hempstead during the early morning hours Wednesday. The discovery prompted an immediate investigation into the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find both victims deceased from their injuries. Law enforcement officials have not yet released the identities of the deceased or disclosed additional details about the incident.
The investigation remains ongoing as detectives work to determine the sequence of events that led to the shooting. No suspects have been identified or apprehended in connection with the homicide at this time.
