A fire broke out early Saturday morning at a residential complex in Lauderhill, prompting a substantial emergency response from local fire departments. The blaze was reported around 3:30 a.m. at an apartment building on Northwest 19th Street near State Road 7, located within the Lauderhill East 55 and older community.
Firefighters from Lauderhill Fire Rescue and the Plantation Fire Department deployed dozens of personnel to combat the flames. Within approximately ninety minutes of the initial report, some fire trucks began departing the scene, though emergency crews remained active as they worked to eliminate remaining hot spots and fully extinguish the fire.
Officials confirmed that the fire remained contained to a single two-story apartment unit. Smoke damage was evident throughout the residence, and at least one first-floor window had been broken by the blaze or firefighting efforts.
Fire rescue authorities stated that all residents were accounted for and safe. Law enforcement remained on scene alongside firefighters as crews continued their work to fully suppress the fire.
