The 39-year-old British actress explained that she exceeded her lifetime acting earnings within approximately 18 months on the subscription platform, where she charges subscribers $6 monthly for hair-focused content.
Cave’s decision to join OnlyFans stemmed from financial hardship and professional frustration. After being rejected from a callback audition and facing difficulties supporting her four children with fiancé Alfie Brown, she described the move as “a point of complete desperation.” She noted that traditional employment options were unavailable due to childcare costs, and retraining was financially unfeasible, prompting her to abandon hopes of continuing her acting career.
The actress’s OnlyFans content features her in full costume, performing hair-related activities including brushing, braiding, and styling while fully clothed. According to The Times, she earned approximately $20,200 in a single day on the platform. Cave justified the venture by emphasizing that “hair is the main character,” distinguishing her content from the platform’s explicit material.
Cave first publicly disclosed her OnlyFans account in March 2025 through her personal Substack newsletter, citing goals to eliminate debt, repair her home, and invest in self-empowerment. She expressed confidence that other artists facing financial hardship may similarly turn to alternative revenue platforms when traditional creative work proves insufficient.
