Suffolk County Police arrived at a residential property on Malvern Lane in Stony Brook Friday evening at approximately 7:45 p.m. in response to a report involving an unresponsive individual. Officers discovered Anthony Izzo, a retired high-ranking official with the New York Police Department, in the pool on the grounds of the home.
The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation by local authorities. No further details regarding the exact nature of his death have been released at this time.
