A man was fatally shot Friday afternoon in a Lauderhill residential area, prompting law enforcement to establish a crime scene at the location. Officers from the Lauderhill Police Department arrived at the 1500 block of Northwest 33rd Avenue shortly after 1:15 p.m. in response to reports of the shooting.

Emergency responders transported the wounded man to Broward Health Medical Center, where medical staff pronounced him deceased. The victim’s identity has not been released by authorities as of the investigation’s early stages.

Police officials indicated that investigators have not yet determined a motive for the shooting and have not apprehended any suspects. The case remains active as authorities work to piece together details of the incident.
