Emergency responders arrived at a construction site located at 1818 SW 1st Ave. in Miami on Friday following reports of a potential structural failure. Miami Fire Rescue and Miami Police Department personnel responded to the incident after receiving the initial call.

The upper portion of a crane became detached and descended into a pool on the property, according to Miami Fire Rescue Public Information Officer Lt. Pete Sanchez. No injuries were sustained in the incident, officials stated.

Emergency crews remained on scene to assess the situation and determine next steps. The exact circumstances surrounding the crane failure were under evaluation as of Friday.
