A package delivery caught on residential security footage has drawn scrutiny after showing an Amazon contractor throwing a customer’s box onto a concrete porch rather than delivering it properly. Nathan Pekas, a Florida resident, recorded the incident on his Ring doorbell camera, which documented the driver launching the package through the air, photographing it as proof of delivery, and departing without placing it at the entrance.

The video shows the package landing with a distinct impact on the porch surface before the driver captures an image and leaves. Pekas identified the carrier as Yun Express, a third-party logistics company that handles select Amazon shipments, and also provided a photograph displaying apparent damage to one corner of the box.

Pekas told news outlet Storyful he found the handling method questionable, noting in comments that the intense Florida summer weather may have motivated the abbreviated delivery approach. Amazon issued a statement acknowledging the episode and indicating it does not align with company standards for its delivery network partners.

“This video does not reflect the standards we have for our delivery partners, and we’re looking into this matter,” an Amazon spokesperson stated. The company has not yet disclosed whether the package contents sustained damage or whether the driver remains active on its delivery routes.

The incident joins a growing collection of doorbell camera footage documenting unusual delivery situations. Last month, a Georgia-based FedEx driver became widely shared on social media after falling backward into a customer’s swimming pool while attempting to document a delivery.
