Cutler Bay Man Arrested After Stabbing Victim in Neck During Dispute Over Woman

A Cutler Bay stabbing incident Saturday evening left one man critically injured and another in custody facing serious charges. The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office reported that Michael Artidiello, 35, stabbed the victim in the neck with a pocketknife at approximately 6:30 p.m. in the 19600 block of South Dixie Highway, severing the victim’s trachea.

The altercation began when Artidiello engaged in a heated argument with his wife in the rear parking lot of Fortis College. When the victim, who along with Artidiello is homeless and has known him for roughly two months, attempted to intervene in the dispute, a physical confrontation erupted between the two men.

After inflicting the knife wound, Artidiello transported the injured man across the street to HCA Florida Cutler Bay Emergency before being apprehended. The victim was subsequently transferred to Jackson South Medical Center, where he was reported in critical condition as of the incident’s documentation.

Artidiello remained at the hospital and was taken into custody when deputies arrived. He was charged with aggravated battery causing great bodily harm and held without bond at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center as of Monday morning, according to the arrest report.
