Texas Man Released on Bond Denies Assault Allegations in Hard Rock Cafe Incident

Daniel Ramirez, 47, of Lubbock, Texas, was released from jail early Sunday morning after posting bond in connection with an alleged assault at the Hard Rock Cafe in Bayside Marketplace. Ramirez had been arrested Friday at the Royal Caribbean terminal at PortMiami by Miami Police Department officers. He immediately contested the charges against him upon his release, insisting the incident was not intentional.

The suspect characterized the July 26 confrontation as a chance collision rather than a deliberate attack. “We ran into each other, I never hit her,” Ramirez told reporters as he exited the facility. When confronted with surveillance footage purportedly showing him shoving a woman to the ground, he repeated his account: “No, I never did. We ran into each other. It was an accident.”

The victim, a bartender at the establishment, reported observing Ramirez in a restricted employee area consuming drink garnishes. When she objected to his presence, she alleged he responded with hostile language and eventually became physical. According to police records, Ramirez subsequently complained to the manager, stating that no woman should correct him and demanding the employee face disciplinary action.

The bartender reported being knocked to the ground twice during the encounter, losing consciousness after the second collision. She stated that she began photographing Ramirez as he departed the bar area, which allegedly prompted the second confrontation. The victim commended detectives for their swift identification and apprehension of the suspect.

Following his release, Ramirez indicated he intends to return to Texas. The case remains pending as authorities maintain surveillance evidence depicting the alleged assault.
