Large Group of E-Bike Riders Disrupts Orlando Downtown, Results in Multiple Arrests

A massive gathering of teenagers on electric bicycles created significant disruption across downtown Orlando earlier this month, with police responding to reports of reckless riding and traffic obstruction. The group’s actions prompted law enforcement to take enforcement action against multiple riders involved in the incident.

Video released by the Orlando Police Department on social media showed riders congregating at intersections, surrounding vehicles, and impeding normal traffic flow. Most notably, the footage documented the group blocking an ambulance with active emergency lights from proceeding through the affected area.

Officers apprehended several riders during the response, with both bodycam footage and surveillance video capturing law enforcement making arrests at the scene. The police department emphasized that the group’s conduct endangered public safety and created delays for residents and emergency services alike.

Orlando Police stated that the large size and mobility of the gathering made it impossible to immediately apprehend all participants. Authorities said they took enforcement action whenever it could be done safely, though the exact number of teens charged in connection with the incident remains unclear.
