A family became victims of a violent animal attack while unloading groceries from their car in a Queens neighborhood Monday evening. The incident occurred at the intersection of Beach 62nd Street and Thursby Avenue in the Rockaways shortly after 9:45 p.m.
An unleashed pit bull approached the family without warning and initiated an unprovoked attack. The circumstances surrounding the dog’s presence and ownership remain under investigation by local authorities.
