Indiana’s national championship squad dominated the Big Ten’s preseason honors selection, capturing three of the 12 spots awarded by a media panel on Thursday. The distinction marks the highest total for any program in the conference as teams prepare for the upcoming season.
The Hoosiers’ honorees span multiple positions: wide receiver Charlie Becker, linebacker Rolijah Hardy and defensive lineman Tyrique Tucker. The Big Ten’s selection process focuses on individual recognition rather than traditional positional all-conference teams.
Ohio State, Oregon and Rutgers each secured two preseason selections. The Buckeyes placed quarterback Julian Sayin and wide receiver Jeremiah Smith on the list, while Oregon selected quarterback Dante Moore and defensive back Koi Perich. Rutgers’ representatives included wide receiver KJ Duff and running back Antwan Raymond.
Three additional athletes earned individual honors: Iowa offensive lineman Kade Pieper, Minnesota defensive lineman Anthony Smith and Southern California quarterback Jayden Maiava rounded out the 12-member preseason recognition group.
