A shooting incident at Seattle Center on Sunday evening resulted in multiple injuries, law enforcement officials confirmed. Emergency responders arrived at the venue shortly after 6 p.m., where the Bite of Seattle food festival was taking place. Seattle Police urged the public to remain away from the area as officers investigated the incident.
Witness accounts described chaotic scenes as attendees scrambled for safety. Kayla Carris, 22, was seated outside the Armory when people began screaming and rushing indoors seeking shelter from the gunfire. She described the panic, noting that patrons were abandoning belongings as they fled in all directions.
Todd Behrends, 59, reported hearing multiple gunshots ring out across the festival grounds. Spectators pushed and knocked over one another in their rush to reach exits, with at least one woman falling during the crush. Behrends observed an injured woman on the ground and another person on a stretcher as he made his way out of the facility.
Police have not yet disclosed whether any suspects have been apprehended in connection with the shooting. The Seattle Police Department has not released additional details regarding the victims’ conditions or other circumstances surrounding the incident. Fox News Digital sought further information from authorities but had not received additional updates at publication time.
