Authorities responded to a home on Ocean Crest Boulevard near Beach 25 Street in Far Rockaway on Saturday morning, where they discovered two family members dead inside the residence. The discovery came shortly before noon as police worked to manage an active barricade situation at the property.
Officers secured a suspect in connection with the deaths, who remains in custody pending further investigation. Details regarding the relationship between the deceased and the circumstances surrounding their deaths were not immediately disclosed by police.
