Authorities arrested a 39-year-old Homestead resident Thursday morning after he allegedly exposed himself to two elementary school students traveling to class. The incident occurred on Lucy Street near Northwest Sixth Avenue, where the children were walking eastbound when the man, identified as Francois Levi, approached them, according to an arrest report filed by police.
The two children immediately fled to school and reported the encounter to a security employee at the campus, who contacted emergency responders. Officers apprehended Levi at 8:45 a.m. Thursday at Laura C. Saunders Elementary School, located at 505 SW 8th Street in Homestead.
Levi was transferred to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center and booked into Miami-Dade County custody shortly after 11:50 p.m. that evening. He faces four charges: two counts of lewd or lascivious exhibition involving a child under 16, and two counts of indecent exposure.
