Chase Merriweather, 16, has channeled his determination into competitive racing after a devastating illness claimed all four of his limbs. The Pennsylvania teenager discovered his athletic calling on the racetrack, where he competes despite his physical challenges.
Following his life-altering medical crisis, Merriweather refused to let his condition limit his ambitions. He has since become an accomplished racer, demonstrating the resilience required to excel in motorsports at a high level of competition.
The quadruple amputee’s pursuit of racing has inspired those around him and challenged conventional expectations about what individuals with severe disabilities can accomplish athletically.
