Three tornadoes swept through northern New Jersey on Tuesday, according to confirmation from the National Weather Service. The twisters are believed to have been the primary severe weather phenomena affecting the Interstate 80 corridor during the day’s storm system.
The NWS assessment indicates these three separate tornado events accounted for the significant severe weather activity reported across the I-80 corridor region on Tuesday.
