The Indiana Fever’s matchup against the Golden State Valkyries on July 15 attracted 1.14 million viewers on USA Sports, establishing a new record for the network’s coverage of the WNBA. The viewership figure surpassed the previous mark set by Clark and the Fever just seven days earlier, demonstrating the sustained audience appetite for the team’s games.
This marks the third occasion this season that Clark and Indiana have averaged at least one million viewers on USA Sports. The streak began with a June 16 contest against the Toronto Tempo, followed by a July 8 matchup against the Los Angeles Sparks that drew 1.04 million viewers across USA Network and CNBC despite its 10 p.m. ET Wednesday start time.
The Fever-Valkyries audience represented a 172 percent increase over the 2025 WNBA cable average and ranked as the second-most-watched WNBA game on cable or streaming this season. Only another Fever game surpassed it—an early July 5 contest against the Las Vegas Aces that averaged 1.55 million viewers on ESPN without Clark or A’ja Wilson competing.
Clark earned Eastern Conference Player of the Week honors after averaging 25.0 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 7.7 assists during the period. She recorded a 45-point, 10-assist performance against the Seattle Storm, becoming the first WNBA player to post 40 points and 10 assists in a single game.
Three days before the Golden State game, the Fever’s 109-75 victory over Las Vegas averaged 2.64 million viewers across NBC and Peacock, marking the most-watched WNBA game of 2026. The audience peaked at 2.8 million and represented the league’s most-watched regular-season Sunday game since 1998.
Clark finished the Golden State loss with 13 points on 4-of-14 shooting while playing through a leg contusion, yet viewership remained above 1.1 million. Before Clark joined the WNBA, the league had not produced a game averaging one million viewers for nearly 16 years.
The Fever will host the Connecticut Sun on Wednesday on USA Network, providing another opportunity to break the network’s WNBA viewership record for the third consecutive week.
