
Eric Zavala, 29, has been arrested and charged with aggravated battery following a shooting incident in Plantation on Saturday afternoon. The confrontation occurred shortly before 1:25 p.m. in the 4200 block of Northwest Fifth Street, according to the Plantation Police Department.
Police said Zavala opened fire on an acquaintance during a heated dispute, with multiple witnesses present at the scene identifying him as the shooter. The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to a hospital, where medical personnel expected him to recover from his injuries.
Zavala was taken into custody and booked at the Broward Main Jail, where he is being held on a $10,000 bond. Additional details regarding the circumstances of the incident remained unavailable as of Sunday evening.
