Boston police launched an investigation Saturday after discovering a deceased individual at a residence connected to the husband of U.S. Representative Ayanna Pressley. Officers arrived at the Malta Street property in the Mattapan neighborhood at approximately 1:52 p.m. and confirmed the death at the scene.

The eight-bedroom, four-bathroom home at 25 Malta Street spans 2,713 square feet and is registered to Conan Harris, Pressley’s spouse, according to property records maintained by Suffolk County. The Boston Police Homicide Unit has assumed lead investigative responsibilities for the case.

Pressley’s congressional office has been contacted for a statement regarding the incident. Additional details are expected as the investigation progresses.
