Levi Wallace has announced his retirement from professional football, bringing an end to an eight-year NFL career at age 31. The cornerback shared the news through Instagram with a simple message reflecting his journey: “Walk-on. Undrafted. 8 years. Retired.”
Wallace spent his most recent season with the Jacksonville Jaguars but did not take the field, remaining sidelined on injured reserve throughout the year. His final game appearance came during the 2024 campaign with the Denver Broncos.
The Alabama product entered the league as an undrafted free agent signing with the Buffalo Bills. Despite lacking draft pedigree, Wallace proved his worth by securing a starting position during his rookie season and appeared in seven games as a starter.
Wallace maintained an iron grip on Buffalo’s secondary throughout his four seasons with the organization. He started in every game he appeared in during his tenure with the Bills, accumulating 219 tackles and six interceptions.
Following his time in Buffalo, Wallace joined the Pittsburgh Steelers and made 31 appearances over two seasons, starting 18 of those contests. He recorded six more interceptions while remaining a consistent threat in coverage for Pittsburgh.
Over the course of 96 career games, Wallace recorded 333 tackles, 56 pass deflections and 12 interceptions. His final stint in Denver saw limited action, with two starts in 13 games and 28 tackles.
