
A magnitude 7.3 earthquake struck the Pacific coastal border shared by Mexico and Guatemala on Friday, sending seismic waves across much of Central America. The temblor’s effects were felt from Mexico City southward through El Salvador and surrounding areas throughout the region.
Emergency responders reported two injuries sustained during the seismic event, according to preliminary assessments. Early evaluations indicated that no significant structural damage or major infrastructure failures occurred as a result of the earthquake.
