Emergency responders rushed to an apartment building on Oak Terrace in the Bronx on Friday evening following reports of a child who had plunged from an upper-story window. The six-story residential complex became the scene of an urgent medical response shortly after 6 p.m.
A 2-year-old sustained critical injuries after falling from the fifth floor of the building. Paramedics arrived promptly and initiated emergency treatment at the scene before transporting the child to a nearby medical facility.
The toddler was transferred by ambulance to the hospital for treatment of injuries related to the fall. Medical staff have not disclosed additional information about the child’s current medical status or prognosis at this time.
