Broward Sheriff’s Office Seeks Fifth Suspect in Fatal North Lauderdale Shooting

The Broward Sheriff’s Office announced Wednesday that it is offering a monetary reward for information leading to the capture of Matthew Holloway, the fifth and final suspect sought in relation to a fatal shooting that occurred in North Lauderdale on May 8. Holloway faces charges of first-degree murder and multiple counts of attempted first-degree murder stemming from the incident near the 7900 block of Southwest Seventh Court.

Law enforcement responded to gunfire reports at approximately 1 a.m. and discovered 19-year-old O’Mari Doe suffering multiple gunshot injuries inside a 2020 Ford Mustang. Doe was transported by air to Broward Health North, where he succumbed to his wounds. A second victim, 20-year-old Maurice Vorroto, sustained a gunshot wound outside the vehicle but was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

According to investigative accounts, four individuals occupying the Mustang came under fire when five armed suspects arrived in a black Honda Accord and discharged multiple rounds before departing the scene. A Fort Lauderdale police officer’s identification of the Honda Accord led to a vehicle pursuit that concluded with suspect apprehension near Southwest 13th Street in Fort Lauderdale.

Four individuals—Aamir Adams, Anthony Adams, and two juveniles—have already been arrested. Detectives subsequently identified Holloway through their investigation, resulting in an active arrest warrant.
