A routine traffic enforcement stop in Lebanon, Tennessee last Tuesday night concluded with the arrest of two senior citizens on drug-related charges, according to law enforcement officials. Officers initiated the traffic stop after observing that a passenger in the vehicle was not wearing a seatbelt, which prompted further investigation into the vehicle’s occupants.
Following a K9 unit’s alert indicating the possible presence of narcotics, authorities removed the 66-year-old female passenger from the vehicle. During the subsequent investigation, the woman allegedly exposed herself to motorists passing along the highway, though no explanation for her conduct was provided to law enforcement.
Police reported discovering what they believed to be cocaine and drug paraphernalia on both the 66-year-old passenger and the 68-year-old driver. The alleged indecent exposure incident did not prevent the arrests that followed the narcotics discovery.
Both occupants were arrested and face multiple criminal charges, the Lebanon Police Department confirmed. The department praised the K9 unit and officers involved for their work in the case, describing their actions as consistent with the department’s commitment to community safety.
