The musician disclosed that organizers offered him a seven-figure sum for a single performance—more money than he had ever been compensated for any show in his career.

Yankovic explained that despite the unprecedented financial inducement, he could not bring himself to accept the engagement. He described his reaction to the offer as making him “feel icky,” suggesting that the source and context of the payment created an ethical discomfort he could not overcome.

The comedian emphasized that he harbored no judgment toward performers who chose to appear at the controversial festival, which drew approximately 6,000 attendees.
