The Metropolitan Transportation Authority announced significant service disruptions affecting the 1, 2, and 3 subway lines beginning this evening and extending across five weekend periods through August 24. The transit agency will halt portions of service on all three lines as maintenance crews undertake a comprehensive track and switch replacement project on the aging infrastructure.
