The Columbus Blue Jackets announced Thursday that they have inked goaltender Jet Greaves to a three-year contract valued at $15 million, securing his services through the 2028-29 campaign. General Manager Don Waddell stated the organization was committed to retaining Greaves, citing his character, physical gifts and increasing importance to the team’s competitive future.
The 25-year-old Cambridge, Ontario native posted a 26-19-9 record across 55 appearances last season, including two shutouts and a 2.60 goals-against average. His .908 save percentage ranked sixth league-wide among NHL goaltenders, while his 25 victories established him as the fifth goaltender in franchise history to achieve that milestone in a single season.
Over 76 career NHL games since the tail end of the 2022-23 season, Greaves holds a 36-28-11 record with four shutouts and a .913 save percentage. The netminder represented Canada at the 2026 IIHF World Championships in Switzerland, recording six victories to tie for third in tournament wins.
