Surveillance footage captured a 38-year-old man forcibly kissing a 13-year-old girl near Washington Avenue and Eighth Street in South Beach at 8:15 p.m. Thursday, according to Miami Beach Police Department reports. The video documentation shows the girl screaming and pulling away from the suspect during the incident.
Authorities identified the suspect as Guillermo Mayorga, also known as Guillermo Mayorgaprado. Police apprehended him at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday in the parking lot of Duffy’s Sports Grill in North Miami Beach and transferred him to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, where he was booked at 3:10 a.m. Wednesday.
Mayorga faces a third-degree felony charge of lewd or lascivious conduct on a child under 16. During a bond hearing, a judge set his bond at $7,500 and issued an order prohibiting contact with the victim. Miami-Dade County Circuit Judge Andrea Ricker Wolfson is scheduled to preside over the case.
