A significant animal rescue operation concluded successfully as 30 beluga whales previously trapped at the defunct Marineland Canada facility have arrived at their respective new homes. The marine mammals were relocated to two major aquarium institutions: the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago and SeaWorld San Antonio, marking the completion of a complex relocation effort.
The belugas have adapted well to their new environments following the transfer from the shuttered Canadian marine park. The successful placement of the entire group represents a major outcome for animal welfare advocates who had monitored the situation at the abandoned facility.
