Police officers were investigating a carjacking on Thursday at the Palmetto General Hospital in Hialeah. A shirtless man pulled a woman out of her car in the hospital’s parking lot at 2001 West 68th St., and fled, according to a witness. “The suspect approached a female victim exiting her vehicle and forced himself inside her car and fled the scene,” Lt. Eddie Rodriguez, a spokesman for the Hialeah Police Department, said. The man, who escaped police custody at the hospital, crashed into a car while fleeing, according to Rodriguez. Detectives asked anyone with information about this or other cases to call Miami-Dade County Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477 to remain anonymous.
