Motorcyclist dies after crash involving cement truck on Don Shula Expressway

A motorcyclist was killed early Tuesday morning after colliding with a cement truck on the Don Shula Expressway in Miami-Dade County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.Troopers said the crash occurred at approximately 3:33 a.m. on the southbound Don Shula Expressway near Southwest 104th Street and Killian Parkway. According to FHP officials, the motorcyclist collided with the cement truck, causing a fire to ignite on the motorcycle. Officials said the motorcyclist, who has only been identified as a man at this time, died at the scene from his injuries.They said the southbound lanes of the Don Shula Expressway were temporarily closed but have since reopened.No other details about the crash were immediately released.
